Hello again! Time for another installment of Project Life :)
I have noticed that for some reason since Chase has started school I just don't take a lot of pictures during the day. I'm not sure why this is happening but I realized this on a Wednesday night that I hadn't taken any pictures of a certain week. SO I decided to plan for "A Day in the Life" spread. It's just as it sounds. Between my phone and my "big camera", I would try and take a picture for (most) everything we do in a day.
Here's how it turned out:
(Left side):
I went about it in a very non-stressful way meaning I didn't worry about which orientation I took a picture or plan in my head where that picture was going to go in my spread. I just tried to remember to take pictures.
This specific day I tried to get pictures of our morning routine to get Chase off to school and then Reed had a doctor's appointment that morning.
I try to remember to not crop in so tight in-camera so that I can cut off a little bit of the pic to have room for more decorating on the page.
This little card is actually a paper out of K&Company's Smash book pad. I used it to give a loose schedule of what we did in the morning.
Here's the right side:
This side shows Reed's lunch and nap time routine and then us picking Chase up from school. We had a family get together that night and then I got a shot of me reading to the boys before bed.
Again another little card to write down the second half of our day's schedule.
The top of this card had something printed on it that had nothing to do with our day so I just simply covered it with a strip of washi tape.
So there's that! I would LOVE to do this again sometime. (Thinking around Christmastime)
Moral of the story: Don't freak out if you forget to take pictures. :)
Here's Week 36:
(Left side):
We finally made it out to the lake again. The boys have so much fun out there. I don't even want to think about the weather getting too cold to go down there.
(Right side):
Again, with not taking a lot of pictures: this whole spread is about one day within a couple hours. I am totally OK with that. I know some people don't like the idea of that but this is what I love so much about Project Life. It's YOUR life. There is no wrong way to do it!
I also did a 1 page layout of a date night Chase and I had:
I had $10 and a handsome little man to go out on the town with. :) We made the best of it with using coupons, going to the library and a free car show. We had supper at McDonald's (where we NEVER go as a family) so Chase could play in the playplace. I had a couple of dollars left over so we went to Dollar Tree to let him pick out a couple of small toys.
I asked Chase to draw a picture of his favorite thing we did that night and guess what he drew....oh yeah. Shoppin' at Dollar Tree :) Kids are so funny.
Whew! So that was a long post! :)
I have been working on a project for the boys' room and then I will FINALLY be done with their room!
Stay tuned.....
Thank you for linking up to the Saturday Share and I am so happy to be featuring you this week.
