Here it is! The last month of 2013.
I can't believe I stuck with it all year. Those who know me personally, know I have a tendency to start something and not finish it.
I had so much fun doing Project Life. I'm so glad I did it and can't wait to continue on this year. It's a good feeling knowing that even though I haven't been "scrapping" all my pictures, they are still organized in an album. The simple embellishing and decorating are just enough to satisfy my creative side. :)
So here we go!
Week 50: (Left side)
For the title card this week I used an image I found on Pinterest. Obviously this week was when we started decorating for Christmas.
I had Chase write out a list of things he might like to get for Christmas. It still cracks me up that he put socks. :)
(Right side):
Very simple side using mainly paper product. The "20 days left" card is a printable I found HERE
Week 51 (Left side):
This side is about the first real snowfall of the season. It was so bad they even cancelled church that Sunday. (It was more because of ice not the snow) So the boys were pretty excited to go outside and play in it.
This could be one of my favorite cards I've made for PL. I just love how it turned out. The yellowish/greenish pattern on this layout is actually washi tape. It's my first time really experimenting with it and I LOVE IT! :)
The blue printable was found HERE
(Right side):
This side was super simple. I just added 2 different cards. The funny face one I drew an arrow on and the blue one I stamped on a Christmas tree using silver ink.
Week 52 (left side):
This is the first spread that I only used a Project Life kit to make my cards. I don't think it will be something I'll do again, but it still turned out OK.
This week wasn't really a Christmas theme so I thought it would be a good time to try it out. It definitely made the process go faster because I could just grab a card and go.
This is the Kraft Core Kit.
OK Now these next couple spreads are all from within a couple days. I knew I would have way too many photos of our Christmas get togethers to add to a regular spread. So they each got there own spread.
Christmas Eve:
Christmas morning:
( I wish I could find where I got the green and red Christmas printables but I can't)
The other Christmas themed embellishments are from many years ago.
Christmas afternoon/evening:
We went to my dad's side of the family (Over 30 people) and then in the evening we went to Ben's side of the family. The little cut out the cradle is from a Christmas card we received many years ago.
I used a ChicTag to add a little journaling.
The red snowflake is an ornament cut down a little bit.
Cookie making and gingerbread men/train making.
This little card is an Artist Trading Card from The Paper Studio and the tag is from K&Co.
New Year's Eve/last page:
I used cards from the Kraft core edition again.
The "snug as a bug in a rug!" tag is actually a rub-on that I just rubbed onto white cardstock and cut it out.
I added some date stamps to wrap up the year!
So there we go! 2013 is in the books. (No pun intended!)
I'm working on a title page for my 2014 album now. So excited to start a new year!
Really love the Hello/Goodbye pics! Such a cool idea! I love how you cut down the ornament too. Thanks for taking the time to share. I really love the way you capture the moments for your family! Awesome inspiration!
